Valentine’s Day is already in full swing online and in store at Postmark, and we thought now would be the perfect time to give you a little behind-the-scenes insight into how we carefully curate our Valentine’s card collections. From selecting standout designs to narrowing down our team
favourites, every card is chosen with a lot of love (and a good eye for detail!).

To start, we sat down with our buyer, Shannon Fisher, and asked her about her process when putting together card ranges she knows our customers will love.

“We request samples from lots of different suppliers and carefully review each product to make sure they’ve created a range that offers something for everyone,” she explains. “Once we’ve seen the full collections, we start pulling ranges together like a jigsaw puzzle, pairing designs that
complement each other while still feeling unique.”

That thoughtful approach means our Valentine’s collection includes a mix of styles, sentiments and finishes, so there’s truly something for every kind of love story.

This year, we’re excited to  welcome fantastic new, smaller publishers such as Ricicle Cards, Dotty
Black, and You’ve Got Pen On Your Face, giving our customers even more choice than ever before. We’re also thrilled to introduce a brand-new American supplier, Ink Meets Paper, who is exclusive to Postmark and brings a beautifully fresh perspective to the collection.

With so many amazing designs available, we couldn’t resist asking a couple of our team members to choose their personal favourites. We asked owner, Mark Janson-Smith and Shannon to pick the Valentine’s cards that really stood out to them.

Shannon chose three cards which could be given at different points of people’s relationships on Valentine’s day.

‘The Art File card is perfect for any Valentine, whether it’s your first Valentine, or your partner of years. The Blue Iris card is a perfect, playful Valentine’s card which would work well for young love no matter what the age of those involved and The Objectables card keeps things real, letting you show your love for someone, even if you aren’t quite willing to dangle off a bridge for them!’

Mark went with a more classic mix ‘These Stop the Clock and You’ve Got Pen cards are perfect for a lot of established couples as making tea for your other half is a love language in itself as it is opening the horror show that’s the dishwasher!  While this cheeky, yet classy card from Rifle Paperwould be a great card for those freshly in love.’

So now that you have seen our favourites, why not go and check out the full collection and choose a favourite of your own?
