Job Title: Area Manager (32 hours)

Postmark is an award-winning card and stationery retailer with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences and beautifully crafted paper products. We're looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Area Manager to join our team, overseeing multiple stores, including our busy Network Rail station sites across London and our store in Birmingham New Street Station.

A 32 hour a week role, this 10 month Maternity cover contract runs from March 2025 to March 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and support a group of store managers to achieve sales and operational targets.
• Act as a brand ambassador, maintaining high levels of customer service and store presentation standards
• Conduct regular store visits to assess performance and provide actionable feedback.
• Oversee visual merchandising and stock management to ensure brand consistency
• Monitor stock levels and work with Managers and warehouse to maintain stock levels
• Analysis sales data and implement strategies to maximise store revenue
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to store managers
• Identify training needs and provide training directly or support Managers in their training needs
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, as well as company policies.
• Support new store openings or refurbishment projects as required.

About You:

• Proven experience in multi-site retail management, preferably within a similar sector.
• A strong leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A track record of driving sales, managing budgets, and achieving targets.
• A creative and customer-focused mindset, with a passion for retail.
• Comfortable with frequent travel within London and a flexible approach to work.
• Adept at problem-solving and finding innovative solutions to challenges.
