The National Gallery was founded in 1824 and is situated in Trafalgar Sqaure, London. It is home to over 2,300 paintings from the mid-13th century. This hanging scroll comes from the collection of over 2,000 Japanese and Chinese paintings assembled by Professor William Anderson during his residency in Japan, from 1873-1880.
